War Against Men: Campus Rape Tribunals Are Out of Control | Just Four Guys

While I understand the frustration that suggests beating up the faculty advisors who participate in these farces, perhaps it would be better to stick to the remedy of suing the university.

Ah ...

This is probably actionable as violation of contract on the part of the university, in all the cases mentioned. To the extent that the universities deliberately set up this system and got the students to consent to it as part of enrollment, it may be prosecutable as criminal fraud.

The reason why is that the university did willfully set up an arbitration system which they knew to be biased against the accused, and then based on this system used it as an excuse to violate the contract of enrollment made by the students, after having received monies for their education. This is criminal fraud: imagine if I contracted to buy stocks from IBM, but IBM had a morals clause, and after taking my money, IBM declined delivery of the stocks based on the claim that I had been deemed "immoral" by their internal tribunal, which consisted of nothing more than their unsupported say-so.

I know that in today's insane cultural environment this is very unlikely to be handled in such a fashion, though.

They will just return with the statement that students, by enrolling, agree to their limitations. It's hard enough trying to get universities to recognize things like freedom of speech, much less harder questions.
