Belgrade knows its enemy

If they want to be punkasses, fine by me. World War 3 is just a decade or so away anyways. The earlier we start drawing lines in the sand, the sooner we'll know who's on our side and who to shoot at.

I think it's only a matter of time before Russia tries to intervene militarily. Everyone knows the UN's overwhelmingly going to support the Kosovo independence. The only recourse they'll have to stop it is to invade Kosovo. Which hopefully we'll have something to say about.

This could end up being another Korea, at best. A precursor to the next Great War, at worst.

The US have done everything in their power to take Kosovo from them, including ignoring the widespread violence against Serbs there and destruction of religious sites. They were supposed to be grateful? And I hardly imagined you of all people would be a fan of Bill Clinton's foreign policy.

And yet, perversely, we paid attention to the widespread violence by Serbs there.... I see, a double standard. Or a practical demonstration, from both sides, that they were unfit to share a common national space.

Hardly unheard of in the context of that peninsula, which might better be divided into city-states, in the sure and certain knowledge that each would lapse into an annual war with their neighbors, in an effort to keep the warring factions smaller.

You know, I've crticized most presidents I've lived under. That doesn't mean that they can't do the right thing. Stopping the warcrimes that constituted Serbian national identity doesn't stretch too far into the territory of "worth criticizing."
