The Estate Tax

Getting rid of the estate tax would be a boon to the country: for one thing, wealthy people save money (which gets lent out to people who want to do something) or spend money (which means that goods I produce have someone to buy them) or invested (which means that someone might hire me) -- so for me, it's a disaster.

Finally, everyone studying it, as opposed to just bloviating, knows it's a disaster.

As I know from experience, it is an OPTIONAL tax: very rich people don't have to pay it. Those not rich enough to hire expensive lawyers DO have to pay it.

I am not sure that is a good use of society's money, either.
