In this case, they claim that the Oregon Revised Statutes are subject to copyright, which they would assert against those who would publish them.
1. The statutes are owned by the people, not by those who pass them. No ownership interest can be asserted against them. See the cases referenced here.
2. The public website that is supposed to supply the statutes is substandard, which may impose hardships in its display, access and reference.
Offering such a poor product and asserting that it must be the only offering is ridiculous.
