A Reminder of the Basics

Walter Williams reminds us of the basics of avoiding poverty, promoted by the government not too long ago (a Democratic administration, folks, discovered this:)

Avoiding long-term poverty is not rocket science. First, graduate from high school. Second, get married before you have children, and stay married. Third, work at any kind of job, even one that starts out paying the minimum wage. And, finally, avoid engaging in criminal behavior.

This applies across racial lines and explains poverty for those who have it. They've missed at least one of those four things.
