Mexican Restaurant, Old Town San Diego

La Pinata on Juan St. in Old Town San Diego is a locally owned family restaurant, and a perfect introduction to local cuisine. My family goes there whenever we have guests from out of town (which includes family members who live in Los Angeles), and all ages have a good time, from the youngest for whom refritos and rice makes a meal to those asking for a sour cream enchilada. The guacamole is good and plentiful, and the bill reasonable. Recommended.
