Medical Ethics, and other contradictions

The New York Times has an article on advance directives that highlights the "starve me even if I want to be fed" aspect of current law.

It is fascinating that this isn't a crime. But evidently, as long as a hospice nurse is in the facility, the coroner won't enquire too closely.
