Iraq's Constitution

I'm pleased that it passed. Yes, it's imperfect: so was, and is, ours. But that doesn't mean it can't improve, or deteriorate, over time. I recognize that there are those, like Fred Kaplan, who want to insist that minorities (20% of the population) should have permanent vetoes over the actions of the majority: but that is what federalism is all about. Time to think a bit more, Fred: just because your buddies lost doesn't mean that it was a bad election.
