The Fed: Interest rates, Mortgages, & Whither

For those who worry that the Fed will continue to raise interest rates more and more and more and more ... in their most recent statement, note that they said there may be a pause in raising the discount rate. In reality, they are rather close to where Alan Greenspan would have put the rate.

I'd bet on one further increase: 17 points is more than half of 25, their minimum raise.

Now, whether that is a good thing is open to question. I'd suggest that it's a bit tight. Some people think otherwise.
