Take the Fascist route! Go for direct action to accomplish what you want. So what if the majority disapproves of what you do! You know people who approve, and you like them better! Besides, if they thought like you do, you'd be IN the majority, so you already have a majority, sort of! And if you choose your majority well, then they'll support you -- if not here, then elsewhere!
Who would be silly enough to fall for this dreck?
All the usual idiots, evidently (though mysteriously missing Noam Chomsky, I see).

Something might strike you here: that several of these people are in positions where you might expect them to know about the US Constitution, and the ways that power and legitimacy are challenged under it. And yet they decide to do this instead. This is Bush Derangement Syndrome in action. I have noticed that some otherwise intelligent people forget the Consitution matters at all when discussing their pet theories about Bush. I find it interesting to google names I'm not familiar with already, though many of these can be found in the lists of conspirators that routinely criticize the United States first.
I would remind everyone of a line attributed to St. Thomas More in "A Man for All Seasons":
William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!
Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?
William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!
Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!
I realize that for some people government is a nuisance. That can even be true for those, as noted above, who serve in it and chafe at the limits on what they can do. But those limits are there for a purpose, and the better use of their time would lie in reinforcing them, not knocking them down. (As one email has reminded me, I'm assuming that people want to be free. But I don't think I want to assume otherwise, thank you very much).
